Frequently Asked Questions

Here we answer the questions readers send in most often about rest, routines and the science behind a decent night's sleep. Think of it as the conversation you'd have with a neighbour over the back fence, minus the guesswork.

Who actually writes these articles?
Every piece is written by a named staff writer, usually with a background in health or local journalism, and reviewed by two editors before it goes live. We don't run unsigned or ghost-written content.
How is this site funded if you don't sell anything?
We run on clearly labelled advertising and reader support, and no advertiser gets a say in what we publish or how we report it. If a piece mentions a product, that's disclosed plainly, not hidden in the text.
Can I suggest a topic or point out something you got wrong?
Yes, there's a topic suggestion field on our contact page, and corrections are reviewed and logged within 30 days of being reported. We'd rather fix it in the open than pretend it didn't happen.
How do you make sure what you publish is accurate?
Every article links back to the study, data set or interview it's built on, and a second editor checks those sources before publishing. If we can't verify a claim, it doesn't make it into the piece.
